Maurice Golden (CON), Michael Marra (LAB), Mercedes Villalba (LAB) and Tess White (CON) voted against the bill.
Shona Robison (SNP), Maggie Chapman (GRN), Liam Kerr (CON) and Douglas Lumsden (CON) voted for it.
It is with a great sense of relief that I wanted to write to you with a heartfelt thank you for voting against the Assisted Dying Bill.
I know that for many it was not an easy decision to make. I was particularly struck by the speeches from Ruth Maguire, Daniel Johnson, Jeremy Balfour and Brian Whittle, who all voted against the Bill for different reasons.
It is good to see that there is a united voice to improve palliative care across Scotland. I look forward to all parties taking this on board and securing the vital funding and strategy in the next Parliament.
